India is celebrating its 74th Republic Day on Thursday with a colorful parade displaying military might and cultural diversity.
Republic Day celebrations at the ceremonial boulevard after Rajpath was renamed 'Kartavya Path' last year. Every year, January 26 is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950.
This year Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of Egypt, is the chief guest for the parade on January 26. He reached India on Wednesday and said it's a "great privilege to be a guest of honour and participate in India's glorious national day."
